Windows 7 - Hibernation restore point failure on bootup

Windows 7 sometimes fails to restore the session from hibernation which causes the computer to fail on startup and the keyboard and mouse stop responding. This is caused by a corrupt restore point and disabled USB Legacy setting in the BIOS.

  1. Restart computer and enter BIOS
  2. Find and enable USB Legacy Support for the keyboard and mouse
  3. Save the configuration and exit the BIOS.
  4. When the computer restarts and windows restoration point failure appears select 'Delete restoration point and boot system'
